Pharmacological Action:
A biologically active dietary supplement based on folic acid.
Composition:
Active ingredient: Folate (L-methylfolate – Metafolin) – 400 mcg.
Excipients: Microcrystalline cellulose, calcium phosphate, magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide.
L-methylfolate, also known as Metafolin, is the biologically active form of folic acid. It is rapidly and completely absorbed by the body, unlike folic acid, and does not require conversion. Folates are essential for the normal maturation of megaloblasts and the formation of normoblasts. Folates stimulate the process of erythropoiesis.
During pregnancy, folate protects the fetus from the damaging effects of teratogenic factors and ensures the normal maturation and functioning of the placenta.
Indications:
Folate intake is recommended in cases of folate deficiency, hyperchromic, megaloblastic, sideroblastic anemias, and those caused by malabsorption in the intestines; preparation for pregnancy; supporting neural tube formation in the fetus during the first trimester of pregnancy; improving immune and nervous system function, and preventing stress.
Dosage:
1 tablet once a day.
