Composition:
One ovule contains:
13 mg of hyaluronic acid – in the form of sodium hyaluronate
65 mg of propolis – in the form of alcoholic extract.
Excipients: polyethylene glycol.
Pharmacological Properties: Apivaginal, with hyaluronic acid and propolis, is a local therapeutic product in the form of vaginal ovules. After insertion into the vagina, the ovule dissolves and forms a moisturizing, protective gel-like mass that coats the vaginal mucosa.
Hyaluronic acid, as a natural polysaccharide, combines with vaginal secretions and, together with propolis:
- Increases vaginal mucosa hydration and elasticity,
- Helps maintain the normal vaginal flora,
- Protects the mucous membrane from irritation,
- Stimulates natural regeneration processes.
Indications: Vaginal dryness caused by:
- Estrogen deficiency during the climactic period, hormone therapy, and contraceptive use;
- Atrophic vaginitis;
- Vaginal mucosa injuries following childbirth, gynecological, or surgical procedures (conization, amputation, cryotherapy, electrocoagulation, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, perineoplasty, vaginal wall plastic surgery);
- Cervical erosion and ulcers;
- Vaginal mucosal atrophy following radiation and chemotherapy;
- Specific and non-specific vaginitis in complex therapy;
- Painful intercourse (dyspareunia).
Method of Use: Apivaginal should be used daily before bedtime. The ovule is inserted into the vagina while lying on the back with slightly elevated hips. The duration of treatment is determined by the attending physician.
Warnings:
- During treatment, avoid sexual intercourse. The treatment course should be planned to avoid interruption due to menstruation.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before using Apivaginal.
- Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients.
- If the condition worsens after using the product, or if eczema, swelling, or other new symptoms appear in the vulvar area, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
- If symptoms improve during treatment and reappear after 5 days, consult a doctor before starting another course.
- Do not use with other vaginal products.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- To prevent staining of clothing and maintain hygiene, it is recommended to use daily panty liners during treatment.
- Do not use if any part of the packaging is damaged.
- Do not use after the expiration date.
Storage Conditions: Store the product at a temperature below 25°C in its original packaging. Protect from direct sunlight.
